For generations, this cabin has been a place where family and friends gathered to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of Hood Canal. Today, we're honored to share that same experience with guests while preserving the historic character and craftsmanship that make this home so special.
The open-concept great room is the heart of the home, where soaring log ceilings, exposed timber beams, a dramatic stone fireplace, and warm wood interiors create the perfect place to gather after a day exploring Hood Canal or Olympic National Park. Curl up with a good book by the fire, enjoy movie night on the Smart TV, or simply unwind while taking in peekaboo water views through the expansive windows. A comfortable daybed provides additional sleeping space for up to two children.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare everything from leisurely breakfasts to family dinners around the six-person dining table. To help you settle in, we provide complimentary coffee, tea, sparkling water, popcorn, cooking oil, and a selection of basic herbs and seasonings.
The spacious primary suite offers a peaceful retreat with a queen memory foam bed, premium linens, and two cozy sitting areas—one beside the fireplace for morning coffee and another overlooking the property. Step directly onto the wraparound deck to enjoy the fresh Hood Canal air. The adjoining full bathroom is connected to the primary suite but also serves as the home's only shower and tub for all guests. An additional half bath is conveniently located near the kitchen and laundry room.
The second bedroom features a full-size memory foam bed, quality linens, Smart TV, dresser, and luggage rack, making it equally comfortable for another couple, children, or additional family members.
Outside, the cabin truly shines. Fire up the propane grill for dinner, gather around the fire pit beneath the stars, enjoy meals on the expansive wraparound deck, or simply relax among the mature gardens with glimpses of Hood Canal beyond. The fully fenced backyard offers plenty of room for children and dogs to play.
The cabin includes one covered parking space in the carport, plus room for two additional vehicles in the driveway.
A public beach access is just a two-minute walk down Mason Avenue, making it easy to spend the afternoon swimming, beachcombing, launching a paddleboard, or enjoying a picnic along the shores of Hood Canal.
Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the main cabin, wraparound deck, yard, fire pit, and driveway throughout their stay. Two storage sheds are reserved for owner use and are not accessible to guests.
The property also includes a separate guest cottage occupied by a quiet, long-term family member. The cottage has its own private entrance, parking area, and outdoor space, allowing guests to enjoy the cabin and grounds with privacy. You'll rarely see one another, but should an emergency arise during your stay, they're nearby to assist if needed.
Other things to note
Don't miss the neighborhood beach! A public Hood Canal beach access is just a two-minute walk down Mason Avenue, making it easy to swim, beachcomb, launch a kayak or paddleboard, or enjoy a picnic by the water.

We enjoyed views of the water from the living room, bedroom, and large wraparound deck. Kerry was a great host and very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would gladly recommend this place to others.

This was a great place to stay. We had friends who live nearby, so it was nice and close to them. The place was very cosy and had a cabin feel to it. The furniture was comfortable, the wifi was fast (great for my remote working needs), the fireplace gave great ambiance, and the heated bathroom floor by the shower was a huge plus! It was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The coffee machine with assorted coffees came in clutch every morning too. The only thing I would suggest is to have an avaliable power strip or extension cord to run along the wall to charge phones on the side tables in the smaller bedroom. But this place was great! I would for sure stay here and rent from Kerry again!
