The space
Book our second two bedroom cabin situated NEXT DOOR to you to include up to 4 more friends and family. Although each cabin has its own private entrance, patio and parking spaces, it is ideal to book BOTH for ultimate privacy and additional space for more Hood Canal fun. Your fully stocked kitchen includes utensils, pots and pans, dishware, flatware, water and wine glasses, blender, toaster oven, olive oil and much more in order to cook your favorite meal while staying with us. Sit in the living room with local kraken art and a funky beach vibe while reading or chatting with loved ones. Enjoy coffee from the kitchen table with sweeping Hood Canal views.
The deck just outside the kitchen is our favorite sitting area allowing you to unwind and be captivated by the natural surroundings. From dining to hanging out after a day at the beach, you will love its privacy and picturesque views. Note that beach access is available but due to our bulkhead's construction (sits high above the beach) to capture the amazing views, guests have to use the Port of Hoodsport's access which is approximately a 2 minute walk away. You are more than welcome to get settled at the beach directly in front of the cabin. Sadly this property does not allow any shellfish harvesting, however do enjoy sunbathing, picnicking and beachcombing! You may see guests from your neighboring cabin down at the beach - we consider the beachfront SHARED.
Want to visit Hardware Distillery, Potlach Brewery, Stottle Winery and Fjord Oyster Bank during your stay? No problem - you are within a 5 minutes walk from all of these wonderful local businesses who await your arrival. As Super Host, Kerry is available to help coordinate a Taste of Hood Canal experience for you or simply venture out on your own to take in the local scene - you are right in the HEART of it all! Like to hike or wish to see the Olympic National Forest? You are at the gateway of it all - allow only a 20-30 minute drive to see our world famous parks, Lake Cushman, Hama Hama, Sol Duc and much more.
Although we are family-friendly we are not set up with children's toys, play and pack or any child proofing. The cabin is quite roomy with 3 tvs, 2 king beds and a spacious shared bathroom. We have parking for up to two cars and we are situated far enough from the highway that safety is not a concern. Do use caution when leaving - US 101 is extremely busy May-Sept.
Guest access
You have full access to your cabin. Our Commodore cabin located next door to you is considered its own listing and private to guests who booked it. Please be respectful of noise and accessing your vehicles in the SHARED parking lot. The shed is considered private. The mobile home next door but on the same property is not a rental, it is a private residence.

Cute little cabin that is an easy walk to the store, coffee shop, and restaurants in town. The view of the canal from the little deck is a nice view over morning breakfast. It is a smaller cabin so if there are more than 2 of you it's probably going to feel crowded but for a couple who weren't traveling with children or pets it was perfect for us.

Cabin was spotless and beautifully remodeled and decorated. My husband kept raving about the quality of the finishings, and how well equipped the cabin was! The spot is behind Kerry's other cabin (the Commodore) but that really didn't matter as the views from the kitchen, living room and deck were fabulous - you look right out on the water and the public pier and beach park right next to the cabin. At high tide, the water is right in front of the cabin - we felt like we were on a houseboat!! So fun and beautiful! A seal would come by at high tide - just 20 feet from our front door! It was such a comfortable and lovely place to stay. The grocery store is right across the street, and the little shops and restaurants all within a block or two. Definitely exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful stay. Also, Kerry was very timely in all her communications - great to work with!! Highly recommend!

We were on our honeymoon and stayed a few days at The Kraken and it was perfect for us! Awesome view of the canal/bay and right in the center of everything scenic. We went sailing, visited the Olympic National Park, Mount Rainier, lake Cushman, drove the coast and still had so much to explore within a couple hours in every direction. This cabin is perfect for a couple and is very clean and cozy. 1 minute walk to about anything you could need, grocery store, restaurant, distilleries, gift shops, ice cream. Kerry and Brian were great and instructions were clear and easy for checking in and out. Would recommend for sure and will be back someday.

We had a very pleasant stay at this cabin! Communication with Kerry was prompt and helpful. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, such as basic kitchen ware, towels, Netflix etc. The location is also great for enjoying hood canal. One thing that I would note is that the main picture of the listing makes it seem like the cabin is at the waterfront facing the canal, but there is another unit in front of this cabin. You’re still next to the water and the view is very nice, but you’re not the last building facing the open water of the canal squarely ahead.
